Hebrew Princess

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Holy smokes, that afterschool is right by my old home in NY. Please reblog this. Please. My thoughts are with this young woman and her family.

This is a picture of Kalisha Madden of Detroit, Michigan.  She’s been missing since November.  There is a very good chance that you have never heard of her, though.  Ever heard of “white woman syndrome?”  It’s a term used to describe the way the American media, law enforcement agencies, most of the public, etc., absolutely flip out when white women (or girls) go missing — finding them (or their remains, in many cases) becomes a #1 priority — but no extreme reaction happens for missing people who aren’t both white and female.
Should we try to find missing people?  Of course we should.  ”White woman syndrome” would not bother me at all, if people also paid attention when other people disappear.
If you click on Kalisha Madden’s picture, you will be taken to a story about this problem, with links to more info about it.  There are THOUSANDS of missing black women whom you never hear about, and the reason for this is both obvious and infuriating:  too many people just don’t give a fuck.
Please reblog this, and if you see this woman, please call the police.
